Outreach

St. Stephen is an a faith community involved in the local and global community. A sample of the outreach projects we are involved with include:

Wesley Urban Ministries

St. Stephen is a strong supporter of Wesley Urban Ministries. We provide a yearly dinner and worship service; we have been a pace setting team for the Case for Kids Walk, Run, Ride Event; we make contributions of mittens, hats and scarves every Christmas as well as providing gifts for the Christmas Store. Our congregation generously responds to requests for support throughout the year.

Good Shepherd Centres

Each year, dozens of afghans are hand knitted and supplied to the Centre in Hamilton.

Halton Women's Place

Items are collected on a regular basis for used by the residents. Halton Women's Place also receives regular financial donations.

Beads of Hope Campaign

St. Stephen supports this United Church of Canada campaign in response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Beads of Hope pins can be purchased and information is available on request.

Other Activities

Other community organizations that St. Stephen provides financial support to are Burlington Interchurch Council and the Burlington Food Bank. Donations of non-perishable food will also be accepted each Sunday at worship.

St. Stephen also administers a benevolent fund to many families and individuals in need.
